Bonnie Bogenschneider Weds Dr. Robert Block
Immanuel Lutheran church was the setting June 10 for the 3:30 p.m. ceremony
uniting in marriage Miss Bonnie Bogenschneider, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Bogenschneider, R. 1, and Dr. Robert Block, son of Mrs. Vera Block and the late
Theodore Block, Watertown. The Rev. William Lauterbach officiated at the double
ring ceremony. The organist was Edward Hugdahl, Madison. Miss Doris Grube sang
"The Song of Ruth" and "Wedding Benediction."
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Her full length gown of nylon
sheer featured a bustle back effect, and was trimmed with Venice lace. A crown
of matching material held her shoulder length veil of illusion.
Her sister, Mrs. Robert Binney, was matron of honor. Her gown of white
organza was detailed with blue embroidery in floral design, and finished with a
blue cummerbund and back streamers. The bridesmaids, Miss Carol Lauterbach and
Miss Edith Block, were gowned identically in blue organza.
David Block was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Martin Welch and
Allan Bogenschneider. The groom, his attendants and the bride's father were
attired in white dinner jacket tuxedos.
About 130 guests attended the reception and dinner held at the Hotel Rogers
in Beaver Dam.
The young couple will live in Milwaukee where Dr. Block will be serving his
internship at a Milwaukee hospital. Mrs. Block will continue her studies at the
University of Wisconsin--Milwaukee.
