Obituary, February 12, 2007
Ruth Bogenschneider -- Watseka
Visitation for Ruth E. Bogenschneider, 65, of Watseka, will be from 4 p.m. to 8
p.m. today at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka, where services will be held
at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Pastor Dan Taylor will officiate.
Burial will be in Prairie Dell Cemetery, Iroquois. Memorials may be made to GODs
Little Food Pantry, Agape Fellowship, or to Iroquois Memorial Hospice. She died
Friday (Feb. 9, 2007) at her home.
Mrs. Bogenschneider was a minister along with her husband at Agape Fellowship in
Watseka and served as chaplain at the Bickford House in Bourbonnais. She was
born Dec. 10, 1941, in Babylon, N.Y., the daughter of Theodore and Hazel Bennett
Vogel. She enjoyed painting, gardening, sewing, and playing the organ and piano.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald Bogenschneider, whom she married April 14,
1963, in Amityville, N.Y.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Renee' and Sam
Maxwell of Clarksville, Tenn., Robynn and Paul Loiselle of Ashkum, Rebecca and
Jared Crouch of Watseka; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Russell
Bogenschneider of Longwood, Fla., Robert and Daphne Bogenschneider of Kankakee;
and 11 grandchildren.
Her parents are deceased.
