Cam Schaefer SkydivesOn July 6, 2008, Cameron Schaefer, the son of Lona Bogenschneider Schaefer, grandson of Willard Bogenschneider, and great-great grandson of August Bogenschneider, had his first experience as a skydiver at the age of 17. The event took place in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin under the auspices of AtmosphAIR, owned by husband and wife, Beau and Alex. It is the only skydiving school in Wisconsin that will allow minors to skydive. The dive originally had been planned for June 29, but was canceled due to cloudy and rainy conditions. Jumping with Cam were two of his friends from North High School in Sheboygan, Matt Russo and Amanda Senkbeil. On the beautiful July day, many friends and family members watched and supported the tandem jumpers. Cam said that it was an "awesome experience" and that he hopes to do it again. Cam's younger brother Ky also wants to jump in the future. |
