Joseph LillaJoseph LillaJanuary 4, 2006 Joseph Lilla, age 72, a resident of Leisure Village, Fox Lake, Ill. and a former resident of Wisconsin and Florida, died Tuesday, Jan 3, 2006 at home. He was born on Oct. 29, 1933 in Hubbard, and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Operating Engineers Local Union 150 for many years before retiring. On May 17, 1969 he was united in marriage to Shirley Graham in Illinois. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Florida. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Lilla of Leisure Village, Fox Lake, Ill.; his children, Jody Lilla of Waukegan, Ill. and Daniel (Alice) Lilla of Paddock Lake, Wis.; his stepchildren, Tim Biglow of Gurnee, Ill. and Patricia (Tom) Fry of Wonder Lake, Ill.; and many grandchildren also survive. Two sisters, Marion (the late Elmer) Scribner and Evelyn (the late Clarence) Schumacher, both of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Raymond and Ralph, and his brothers in law. Memorial services will be conducted at noon on Thursday Jan 5, at the K.K. Hamsher Funeral Home 12 N. Pistakee Lk.Rd. Fox Lake, Il. (The Chapel On The Lake) with the Rev. Lisle Kauffman officiating. Friends are invited in attend from 11 a.m. on thru time of the memorial services.
