R. Bogenschneider
Harland R. Bogenschneider, 80, of Beaver Dam, died on Friday, May 31,
2002, at Clearview, Juneau.
The funeral was held on Monday, June 3, at 11 a.m. at the First
Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. David Bitler officiated. Burial was
in North Burnett Cemetery.
Mr. Bogenschneider was born on Dec. 31, 1921, in Dodge County, the son
of Otto and Minnie (Siegmann) Bogenschneider. He was married on May 27,
1944, to Marion Milbrot in Kekoskee.
Mr. Bogenschneider farmed in the Mayville area until 1968. He then
moved to Beaver Dam and worked at Beaver Dam Community Hospital. He was a
member of First Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, of which he was a choir
member. He was also a member of the Men's Club and other church
organizations. He was the past president of AARP and a member of the
Roamers Club. He was an avid gardener, card player and fisherman.
Survivors include two sons, Paul (Linda) Bogenschneider,
Hendersonville, Tenn., and Larry Bogenschneider, Waupun; one daughter,
Nancy (Thomas) Schweiger, Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Cheryl (Rob)
Andrel, Hermitage, Tenn., Daniel Bogenschneider, Hendersonville, Tenn.,
Kimberly Schweiger, Colorado Springs, Colo., Adam Schweiger, and Marc
Schweiger, both of Fond du Lac; one sister, Esther (Art) Hartwig, Lady
Lake, Fla., and Fox Lake; relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marion
Bogenschneider, in 1996; one son, David Bogenschneider, in 1970, while
serving in Kenya, Africa, in the Peace Corps.
Friends called on Monday, June 3, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of
service at the First Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam.
