Pictures from Bogenschneider Villages

  • Blumberg is the home village for many Bogenschneiders.  Blumberg was part of Kreis Randow, Pommern, but today is one of the villages, along with Biesendahlshof, Casekow, Luckow-Petershagen, Wartin and Wolterdorf, in the municipality of Casekow, under the administration of Gartz, in the Landkries Uckermark, in the state of Brandenburg.

  • Krackow was home to many of the early Bogenschneiders. Krackow was part of Kreis Randow, Pommern, Prussia/Germany until 1939.  After World War II, it was located in East Germany (DDR). Today it is in the district of Uecker Randow, state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

  • The former Luckow, Kreis Randow, Pommern, was the home town of Wilhelmina Walk, who married August Bogenschneider on 14 June 1864 in the Luckow church. August and Wilhelmina emigrated to the United States in 1870 and settled first in Washington County Wisconsin and then in Dodge County, Wisconsin. Luckow, which merged with the small neighboring village of Petershagen in 1973, is part of the municipality Casekow, along with the villages of Biesendahishof, Blumberg, Casekow, Wartin and Woltersdorf.
